Insert the tube fully into the fitting until it bottoms out, then tighten the nut by hand. Use a wrench to tighten the nut to the manufacturer's recommended torque, typically 1/4 to 1/2 turn past hand-tight. Do not overtighten, as this can damage the bite ring or tube.
