To install a flareless bite-type fitting, insert the tube fully into the fitting body until it bottoms out, then tighten the nut by hand. Use a wrench to tighten the nut to the manufacturer's recommended torque, which causes the ferrule to bite into the tube. Do not overtighten, as this can damage the seal.
