Insert the tubing fully into the fitting until it bottoms on the shoulder. Tighten the nut finger-tight, then use a wrench to turn the nut 1-1/4 turns past finger-tight for 5/8 in OD tubing. Do not over-tighten. The double-ferrule design grips the tube without damaging it.
