Le câble chauffant est utilisé pour la protection des tuyaux et pour
empêcher le gel des appareils de réfrigération et des réseaux
hydrauliques.
Il est équipé d'un thermostat bimétallique +3°C ± 3°C +8°C ± 3°C
(également disponible dans la version +3°C ± 3°C +13°C ± 3°C) qui
active le circuit uniquement en présence d'une certaine température,
de manière à permettre une économie d'énergie considérable. Il est
fourni déjà coupé sur mesure et prêt à l'emploi : la longueur du câble
ne peut pas être raccourcie par l'utilisateur final.
