Frequently Asked Questions

What is an Elektrogas NV needle valve used for?

Elektrogas NV needle valves are used for fine-adjusting gas flow and air flow in industrial combustion processes. They are manually operated with an Allen key to precisely set the burner fire rate. Typical applications include combustion air modulation where the valve helps set the required lambda value.

What are the specifications of the Elektrogas NV needle valve?

The Elektrogas NV needle valve is available with threaded connections from Rp1/4 to Rp2 (EN 10226-1) or NPT. It handles air and non-aggressive gases (EN 437) at operating pressures up to 500 mbar or 6 bar. Media temperature is +60°C max, with a special version for air up to +200°C.

Where to buy Elektrogas NV needle valves in Singapore?

3G Electric supplies Elektrogas NV needle valves to Singapore. We handle logistics, customs clearance, and delivery to your facility. Contact our team for pricing and lead time on your required connection size and pressure rating.

How to install an Elektrogas NV needle valve?

Install the Elektrogas NV valve in compliance with local regulations. Use an approved ball valve or cock for shut-off, as the NV type is not designed for gas shut-off. Adjust flow by turning the Allen screw counterclockwise to increase flow, then secure the locking nut. A plastic cap prevents tampering.

Used in

Common applications for Elektrogas
Industrial steam and hot-water boiler gas trains — VMR slow-opening solenoid valves on modulating burners
Commercial kitchen and bakery gas-fired ovens — VML magnetic valves for appliance-level safety shut-off
Process-industry gas supply skids — VMH high-pressure variants rated to 6 bar for elevated-pressure networks
Burner OEM gas-train assemblies — multibloc combined-function units reducing commissioning and leak paths
Retrofit drop-in replacements for existing Elektrogas VMR valves on installed burner racks
