The 3G-OTH-02837 display module provides the following\n features and capabilities:\n • Two (2) line by sixteen (16) character backlit LCD display.\n • Continuous display of current burner operating status, including first out annunciation in the\n event of a lockout condition.\n • Three (3) key, tactile dome keypad to provide historical information of the burner, last six (6)\n lockout conditions (with burner cycle and burner hour time stamp), assign messages associated\n with the operation of the E300 expansion module, and diagnostic messages.\n • Design mounts directly onto the front face of the EP style programmers.\n • RJ style connector for connection to the EP and EPD programmer.\n • Remote display capability with the EP and EPD style programmers and MicroM system using\n standard DIN sized opening and remote mounting kit. Refer to Bulletin E-8002.\n • Weather proof housing (NEMA 4 using remote mounting kit 129-145-1, -2).\n\n\nINSTALLATION\n The 3G-OTH-02837 display mounts directly onto the front of the EP style programmers. The 3G-OTH-02837 can be\n mounted onto the programmer when the programmer is either installed in the EB700 chassis or not.\n • Remove power from the EB700 chassis if the programmer is installed in the chassis.\n • Slide the bottom of the 3G-OTH-02837 chassis onto the two (2) mounting tabs on the face of the EP style\n programmer.\n • Tilt the 3G-OTH-02837 display towards the cover until the mounting tab on top of the 3G-OTH-02837 display\n snaps into position into the opening on the face of the EP programmer.\n • Install the ED580 cable (provided) into the RJ style connectors on both the 3G-OTH-02837 display and\n EP style programmers.\n — Insert the EP style programmer and 3G-OTH-02837 display into the second slot on the EB700 chassis\n (marked \"Programmer Module\") and restore power.\n For information on how to mount the 3G-OTH-02837 display remotely for the EP, EPD style programmers\n and MicroM systems, refer to Bulletin E-8002.\n\n\n 1\n\f \n\n\n\nFIGURE 1. The backlit\n function is continuously energized.\n Contrast Control: The contrast for the LCD display is factory set. If the contrast must be adjusted\n for any reason (e.g.: remote mounting), a potentiometer is provided on the back of the 3G-OTH-02837 display\n board.\n\n\nTACTILE DOME KEYPAD\n The 3G-OTH-02837 has a three (3) key, tactile dome keypad to review both current and historical information\n associated with the operation of the burner. Following is the function of each key:\n SCRL SCRL key is used to advance through and display historical and operational information associated with the control and various sub-\n menus.\n RESET RESET key resets the control in the event of a lockout condition. The reset key is also used to modify Unit Address and messages asso-\n ciated with the E300 expansion module.\n MODE MODE key selects and enters a sub-menu (e.g. LOCKOUT HISTORY). The SCRL key then advances through the selections within each\n sub-menu. The MODE key will also exit the sub-menu. A right-hand arrow () displayed on the bottom line indicates the MODE key is\n operational.\n\n\n\n\n SCRL RESET MODE\n\n\n\n\n2\n\f ®\n\n\n\n\nGENERAL OPERATION\n The 3G-OTH-02837 displays current burner status, first out annunciation in the event of a lockout condition,\n historical burner information, detailed lockout information of the last six (6) lockout conditions,\n diagnostic messages, and the ability to program messages associated with the E300 Expansion Mod-\n ule.\n Depending on the information being displayed, data is displayed on the 3G-OTH-02837 screen in the follow-\n ing locations.\n\n OPERATING STATUS TIMING\n (Standby, Purge, PTFI, (During Purge or PTFI) OR\n Auto, etc.) FLAME SIGNAL STRENGTH\n (During PTFI, MTFI, or Auto)\n PURGE 00:05\n STARTING BURNER\n ADDITIONAL INFORMATION\n ON OPERATING STATUS\n (Flame Signal Strength, Cause of current Lockout, etc.) OR\n ARROW displayed when\n BURNER HISTORY (SCRL key required) MODE key is required to\n (Burner Cycles, Burner Lockouts, etc.) OR access sub-menus\n (Lockout, History, Program\n SUB-MENU HEADINGS (SCRL and MODE keys required) Setup, etc.)\n (Lockout History, Program Setup, etc.\n\n\n\n\n The EP(D) and MicroM programmers update the messages to the 3G-OTH-02837 display at least\n once every 8 seconds. If the 3G-OTH-02837 display does not receive information from the EP(D)\n programmer within 10 seconds the 3G-OTH-02837 will display:\n\n\n FIREYE 3G-OTH-02837\n WAITING FOR DATA\n\n This can be the result of a defective connection between the programmer and display,\n defective cable, defective drivers in the programmer or display, or an electrical noise tran-\n sient causing the EP(D) or MicroM programmers to cease communication.\n Removing and restoring power should be executed to recover proper operation. Refer to\n bulletin SN-100 for recommended techniques for display installation.\n\n\n\nED510 MESSAGES (as used with Flame-Monitor)\n RUN MESSAGES\n\n STANDBY The operating control of the FLAME-MONITOR (terminals L1-13) is open.\n L1-13 OPEN\n\n\n PURGE 00:05 Firing rate motor sent to high fire (term. 10-X made), purge timing displayed\n HIGH FIRE PURGE upper right hand corner.\n\n\n PURGE 00:35 Firing rate motor sent to low fire (term. 10-12 made), purge timing displayed in\n LOW FIRE PURGE upper right hand corner.\n\n\n PTFI 00:02 PTFI timing started.
