Mount the indicator horizontally with the flow arrow (if present) aligned to pipe direction. Use PTFE tape on NPT threads to prevent leaks. Tighten fittings by hand plus 1-2 turns with a wrench—do not overtighten PVC. Ensure the acrylic window is not subjected to thermal shock or pressures above 140 psi.
