It is rated Class I Division 2, Class II Divisions 1 and 2, and Class III Divisions 1 and 2, making it suitable for indoor/outdoor use in industrial environments with flammable gases, combustible dusts, or ignitable fibers.

The THOMAS & BETTS 5255 has a 1-1/4 in trade size, 1-1/4 in MNPT box connection, 90° elbow angle, and is made of iron and steel with a gray finish. It is non-insulated, conforms to UL514B, and is for use with flexible liquid-tight metallic conduit in hazardous locations rated Class I Div 2, Class II Div 1 and 2, and Class III Div 1 and 2.
