Frequently asked questions

Common questions about EGA from 3G Electric.

What is the load capacity of EGA mobile work platforms?

EGA mobile work platforms, such as the A001H and A009H models, have a load capacity of 300 lb. This capacity is consistent across the single-access platform range. It is important not to exceed this limit to ensure safe operation. The platforms are designed for indoor use and should be used on level surfaces. For specific applications, consult the product specifications to confirm suitability.

Are EGA platforms foldable for storage?

EGA mobile work platforms are not foldable. They feature a fixed-height design with a rigid aluminum frame. While they are not collapsible, their lightweight construction and rolling casters allow for easy movement and positioning. The tilt-and-move feature enables one person to tilt and roll the platform through standard doorways. Storage should be in a designated area where the platform can remain upright.

What are the available platform heights for EGA single-access platforms?

EGA single-access platforms are available in fixed heights of 1.7 ft, 2.5 ft, and 3.3 ft. For example, the A001H has a height of 1.7 ft, the A006H has a height of 2.5 ft, and the A007H has a height of 3.3 ft. These heights are measured from the ground to the platform surface. The appropriate height depends on the task requirements and the working height needed.

What deck sizes are offered for EGA mobile work platforms?

EGA mobile work platforms come with aluminum decks in various sizes, including 24 in x 35 in, 24 in x 42 in, and 24 in x 49 in. The deck size affects the working area and maneuverability. Smaller decks are easier to position in tight spaces, while larger decks provide more room for tools and materials. All decks are made of aluminum, which is lightweight and resistant to corrosion.

Can EGA platforms be used outdoors?

EGA mobile work platforms are designed for indoor use. They are not rated for outdoor environments, which may expose them to weather elements and uneven surfaces. The aluminum construction offers some corrosion resistance, but the platforms lack features for outdoor stability. For outdoor applications, consider alternative access equipment designed for such conditions. Always follow the manufacturer's guidelines for use.
