OILITE is a brand of self-lubricating sleeve bearings and thrust washers manufactured from sintered bronze (SAE 841) and engineered plastics. The brand is owned by Beemer Precision, Inc., a U.S.-based company with a history dating to the 1930s, and is widely recognized in industrial maintenance and original equipment manufacturing for its proprietary oil-impregnated bronze bearings. OILITE products are designed to operate without external lubrication in many applications, relying on a porous bronze matrix that holds lubricating oil (typically SAE 30 or 40) and releases it during operation. The product line includes plain sleeve bearings, flanged sleeve bearings, thrust washers, and plastic-based bearings made from materials such as glass-filled PTFE, Vespel SP-21, and acetal. These components are available in both inch and metric dimensions, with bore sizes ranging from 3/8 in to 1 1/2 in (and metric equivalents from 14 mm to 20 mm) and lengths from 3/8 in to 2 in.
