For example, a 7/16 in (11 mm) PETZL rope will fit most standard pulleys and ascenders designed for 11 mm ropes. However, for optimal performance and safety, PETZL recommends using their ropes with PETZL hardware to ensure proper fit and function, especially in critical applications like rescue systems.

PETZL rescue ropes, such as the R078AA36 model, have a working load limit (WLL) of 900 lb (approximately 4 kN).
