About HUBBELL WIRING DEVICE-KELLEMS

Hubbell Wiring Device-Kellems is a product line within Hubbell Incorporated, a manufacturer of electrical and utility products founded in 1888 and headquartered in Shelton, Connecticut. The Wiring Device-Kellems division focuses on wiring devices, electrical boxes, enclosures, and wire management components for industrial, commercial, and institutional environments. 3G Electric supplies this line globally, with a current inventory of 481 SKUs spanning cord reels, floor boxes, conduit fittings, cable grips, and raceway components.

The product families most relevant to plant engineers and maintenance managers include liquid-tight conduit fittings with strain relief, straight and angled cable grips, multichannel raceway device boxes, and floor boxes. These components are used to terminate, route, and protect electrical conductors in environments where moisture, vibration, or mechanical stress are present. Many items carry IP66 ratings for liquid-tight protection, and construction typically combines steel bodies with stainless steel mesh or components for corrosion resistance. Trade sizes range from 3/8 in to 2-1/2 in, with mesh lengths from 2-1/2 in to 9-3/4 in, and connection types including MNPT in straight, 45-degree, and 90-degree configurations.

Technical buyers will find that Hubbell Wiring Device-Kellems products are specified by trade size, connection type, material, and IP rating. For example, the 5D523 straight nylon cable grip accepts cord diameters from 0.15 in to 0.21 in and provides a 3/8 in MNPT box connection with an IP66 rating. The 6D204 liquid-tight conduit fitting is an insulated 90-degree elbow with a 3/4 in MNPT connection and a 4 in mesh length, constructed with a steel body and stainless steel components. The 1MBL1 device box is a 1-gang white PVC box measuring 4-1/2 in wide by 1-5/8 in high, designed for BaseTrak PB3 multichannel raceways. These specifications allow engineers to match components to existing conduit systems, enclosure entries, and cable management requirements without ambiguity.

3G Electric supports the Hubbell Wiring Device-Kellems line by stocking a broad range of SKUs and providing global shipping. The catalog includes both insulated and non-insulated fittings, straight and elbow configurations, and multiple trade sizes to accommodate different installation needs. For procurement specialists, 3G Electric offers a single source for these components alongside other industrial equipment categories such as burners, pumps, and gas controls. The product data available includes manufacturer part numbers, dimensions, material specifications, and IP ratings, enabling accurate cross-referencing and specification checks before order placement.

Frequently asked questions

Common questions about HUBBELL WIRING DEVICE-KELLEMS from 3G Electric.

What cord diameter range does the Hubbell Wiring Device-Kellems 5D523 straight cable grip accept?

The 5D523 straight plastic cable grip accepts cord diameters from 0.15 in to 0.21 in. It has a 3/8 in MNPT box connection and a gray nylon body with an IP66 rating for liquid-tight protection. This grip is used to seal cable entries and provide strain relief in wet or dusty environments. The nylon construction offers resistance to corrosion and chemicals, and the IP66 rating indicates protection against dust ingress and water jets. It is suitable for industrial control panels, motor connections, and other applications where cable entry sealing is required.

What are the available trade sizes for Hubbell Wiring Device-Kellems liquid-tight conduit fittings with strain relief?

Hubbell Wiring Device-Kellems liquid-tight conduit fittings with strain relief are available in trade sizes including 3/8 in, 1/2 in, 3/4 in, 2 in, and 2-1/2 in. Mesh lengths vary by model, ranging from 2-1/2 in to 9-3/4 in. Configurations include straight, 45-degree, and 90-degree elbows, with both insulated and non-insulated options. Connection types are MNPT, and body materials are typically steel with stainless steel mesh or components. These fittings are used to terminate liquid-tight flexible metal conduit and provide strain relief in wet or hazardous locations.

What is the Hubbell Wiring Device-Kellems 1MBL1 device box used for?

The 1MBL1 is a 1-gang device box designed for use with BaseTrak PB3 multichannel raceways. It is made of white PVC and measures 4-1/2 in wide by 1-5/8 in high. It provides a junction point for terminating wiring within the raceway system. This box is typically used in commercial and industrial settings where multichannel raceways are installed for power, data, or communication cabling. The PVC construction offers durability and resistance to moisture, and the white color blends with typical raceway finishes.

Are Hubbell Wiring Device-Kellems liquid-tight conduit fittings available with 90-degree elbows?

Yes, Hubbell Wiring Device-Kellems offers liquid-tight conduit fittings with 90-degree elbows. For example, the 6D204 is an insulated 90-degree elbow with a 3/4 in MNPT connection and a 4 in mesh length, constructed with a steel body and stainless steel components. The 6D202 is an insulated 90-degree elbow with a 3/8 in trade size, 1/2 in MNPT connection, and 3 in mesh length. These fittings are used to route conduit around corners while maintaining liquid-tight integrity and providing strain relief. They are suitable for wet or hazardous locations where flexible metal conduit is required.

What IP rating do Hubbell Wiring Device-Kellems cable grips carry?
